The design inspiration comes from the hieroglyphic papyrus scrolls my grandparents brought back from Egypt. Later, while traveling along the Nile, I encountered papyrus growing in the center of the riverbank. Fresh and invigorating, yet with the dry, smoky aroma of wood, the aroma of papyrus creates a stark contrast to its appearance. I love papyrus; it’s unique. It’s neither a traditional woody scent nor a rich patchouli. Its unique woody aroma has a subtle medicinal note and a light, vegetal aroma. 🌿 I’ve never seen papyrus in person, but perhaps this is the scent of papyrus itself.
