Angel Alien Eau de Toilette , 2011,100ml

Angel is probably the first truly gourmand fragrance. I used it for the first time today, and it has a strong sweet scent of fruity hard candy combined with the sweetness of tonka bean and vanilla. The sillage is quite aggressive; I used to fill an entire meeting room with this scent.

It smells better on skin than on fabric, but I think that’s thanks to the tonka bean and vanilla, which dissipate the lingering candy scent, making it more like the sweet aroma of jars and bottles from a bakery.

Like most things in this world, each generation has its own mission, its own joys and sorrows. Gourmand fragrances are difficult to create with a truly sophisticated feel, perhaps because not everyone has carefully smelled a flower or a piece of agarwood, but everyone has drunk a cup of coffee, a bowl of milk, and eaten a piece of chocolate.

Now there are many sweet, delicate fragrances, but Angel carries a deeper symbolic meaning.
